It’s A Good Day

Manafort found guilty on 8 counts. Cohen pleads guilty on multiple counts, and that miserable, lowlife, scum sucking Congresscritter from San Diego County, Duncan Hunter, was indicted on multiple charges related to misuse of campaign funds. 😈

To “Alternative Facts” we can add “Truth isn’t Truth” to the Trump lexiCon. The estate of George Orwell should sue for copyright infringement. Of course, you can’t prove infringement, because you can’t prove that anyone in the White House can read at the level necessary for 1984 👿

Update: One of the favorite jokes from the Edinburgh Fringe: “Trump said he’d build a wall but he hasn’t even picked up a brick. He’s just another middle-aged man failing on a DIY project” – Justin Moorhouse

Yep. Well, mostly. There is a growing petition on Twitter because of course Dotard has said he will pardon Manafort. Was he charged by State jurisdiction?

But… It’s not all great this day. Four Detroit Pig’s were filmed harassing and then tasering a black man who as holding a baby! It caused the baby to “fly out of his hands” according to his GF and she had to race to catch the baby. Apparently, it was a *prank* call. I retweeted the video and transcript from this thread:

Ahh! Forget that about Manafort. Federal Charges. And still 2 more Court cases to be heard, I think? In Washington DC & another elsewhere?

Anyway, he’s likely facing the rest of his life in prison. So I’d be surprised if he didn’t cut a deal as Cohen did. I guess we’ll find out. 🙂

Manafort is only subject to Federal law at this time, while Cohen can be hit with New York State crimes that parallel many Federal financial crimes. Manafort has an upcoming trial in DC, which has a jury pool laden with retired civil servants. The DC trial is the one that will involve Trump and the campaign. The Virginia trial was passed to the Special Counsel after he was appointed and not primarily about Russian interference.

Manafort is counting on a pardon, and that depends on Trump – that’s like making a jump with a parachute packed by a three-year-old 😈

That incident was in a Detroit suburb, which makes it even more likely to occur. Those cops have no reason to believe that the baby won’t be injured by the shock, hell the guy could convulse and crush the child when shocked. There were more than enough cops there to make an arrest without a taser, but they use them just like they used cattle prods in the 1960’s.

Biggest republican fear: that the Dems don’t impeach Mango. Why should we? There are now 45 GOPers abandoning the House (assuming Hunter’s run doesn’t matter), who else could do that? Putin has proved Mango can be manipulated and I’m sure Speaker Pelosi is every bit as capable. Of course should the GOP move for impeachment the Dems should hold out that Pence be included while sorrowfully agreeing.

Of course that would make Speaker Pelosi President…

Our ABC’s Comedy Channel started a new program earlier this year called Tonightly with Tom Ballard.

Here is a sketch from last night! It’s perfect! Also applies to your Gov I thought! Unfortunately, you can’t watch the episode directly via ABC unless you are in Aus. But they posted the sketch on Twitter. Here’s my tweet:

Enjoy! 😉 😀

Yes, Shirt, the Repubs are getting a practical lesson in the meaning of “between a rock and a hard place” because Pelosi would slice and dice.

Kryten, we have a problem with a party that won’t do anything about a bad leader, and Australia can’t keep a leader in power very long because of the tendency of parties to replace leaders for minimal reasons. I love that the guy pushing to replace Turnbull may be thrown out of Parliament on a violation of section 44(v) of the Australian Constitution .

If the US had a 44(v) law we wouldn’t be able to find anyone wanted to run for Congress that could pass the test.

Yes! Dutton is a psychopath. Seriously. He has to go.

And one of the very few things the Gov has done recently, is to force ABC to cancel that program, Tonightly. So we have that in common with USA also.

So, ScoMo (Scott Morrison) got the number’s & picked Josh Frydenberg as his co-pilot! Both are about as progressive as a man running backwards toward a hurricane!

Basically, nothing much changed. *shrug*

If nothing changed, then the entire episode was about personal animus among intra-party rivals which is a hell of a way to run a government. I seem to remember that you have to have an election next year, so it is beginning to look like a fight over who would be the Captain of the Titanic. 😈

Well, ScoMo is an extreme RW evangelical NJ (pals with ex Hillsong founder Brian Houston). Aptly named Tony Abbott was also an extreme RW evangelical NJ (Went to the Seminary to become a Priest & they kicked him out for being too extreme even for them!)

Fifteen things you didn’t know about Scott Morrison

When you mix religion and politics both are corrupted. The separation of church and state protects them from the taint of mixing.
