BBC reports that MAC-V MNF-I admits that at least 4000 members of the military of the United States have died during the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

When will the nightmare end?  When will there be too many deaths for the “legacy” of one small corrupt individual?  When will someone be held responsible for what has happened?

Who will be the last person to die for a lie?

Four thousand American troops dead; several tens of thousands wounded. At least that many American families grieving, and often enough in poverty. Five years wasted on a war based on a lie… to the detriment of our national security. Countless troops and civilians of other nations… 200,000? a million? two million? more? truly uncountable… dead, wounded and displaced, rendered refugees in or out of their own nations. Priceless antiquities from the beginnings of human civilization destroyed, looted, removed.

And all so that America could have cheap oil. Oh, wait…

No movement on impeachment, no movement on de-funding the war, no attempts to hold anyone responsible, more troops being readied for deployment, and no serious discussion about what to do about it.

It was intolerable the first time, and now we’ve done it again.
