What, in this day and age, does the Prohibition Party prohibit? And, of course, who will you vote for?
write-in space! good. i was wondering if i was going to get that choice.
i still haven’t decided who i’m going to vote for. i may be standing there at 6:59 pm, with all the poll workers glaring at me, and i’ll be able to read the little thought balloons above their heads: make up your mind already! my supper’s getting cold and the dog needs to go out!
Well… If I were voting… ‘Boston Tea Party’ would get my vote! They sound like a fun bunch! LOL 😉 Let’s face it… the *serious* people have surely f*ck*d everything up beyond all recognition, big time (or, if you prefer the age old military acronym, FUBAR) Someone should rename the Republican party: The FUBAR Big Time Party, and the Dem’s as just The FUBAR Party. LOL
Indeed, that was my thought too. The Boston Tea Party?
But of course I shall vote for the Obamarama. Despite my reservations, the alternative — another four years of Republican rule — is dire enough to give me hives.
All we had was GOP, Dem and Libertarian to chose from on the ballot here in Georgia and I was surprised we had more than GOP knowing the sentiments of my fellow Georgians.
It is the same Prohibition Party it has always been, Steve, the third oldest party in US politics. There has never been a bad idea that didn’t find supporters in the US.
The Boston Tea Party is another libertarian spin-off and not a lot of fun. We don’t have any fun parties in the US, from the point of view of those involved; it is only people on the outside that notice how seriously whacko they all are.
If I bother to vote for any of these losers it will probably be the Green Party as the least offensive. The country is cursed with incompetents getting nominated to leadership positions. The knowledgeable, effective people in Congress are all back-benchers and there isn’t a real leader in bunch. Anyone with any competence is perceived as a threat and marginalized.
Objectively, Sarah Palin is the individual with the most relevant experience on the list. That is a sad commentary on the process this country uses to select its government. Only the fact that the Republicans made a worse choice than the Democrats is driving this election. The entire process has degenerated into getting elected, not actually governing. All the voters will get for their efforts are campaign slogans, there isn’t a policy worth spit in the whole crowd.
If Sarah Palin has the most relevant experience of the bunch, we are in even more trouble than I though.
Note that I’m not talking about competence, just experience. The Senate is not good experience for the job of President, being a governor, like Bill Richardson or Mitt Romney is a better base than the Senate, and being an involved Vice President, like Al Gore, is the best experience.
Florida is a state third parties target, Fallenmonk. Florida voters will sign petitions for almost anything and we have a number of experienced signature gathering organizations in the state because of the initiative process.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE… Florida has many state parties not even running presidential candidates that do run within local elections every year in different towns and counties. The best place to find them is at the Florida Supervisor of Elections office website and look at your local county office to see who is running for what and under what banner.
