The other, of course, involves orcs."

They grow so quickly…

I just wish they were even slightly friendly, because that little tabby would have no trouble finding a permanent home.
i love tabby faces. this is my wildest one [from the days when i hadn’t yet coaxed them all into the house], so i don’t have many photos of her.
she and curmudgeon cat are my only tabbies.
She has a perfect “M” on her forehead and is a mackerel [stripes without swirls]. She is also totally anti-people.
She has a winning face, but she will never be a “people” cat, as she is wild as a March hare.
Make that a black and white sepia photo and add a couple of tommy guns and you could be looking at a gang of particularly mean bank robbers..
With an M like that the little tabby is surely Mohammed’s beloved!

The mom looks like she’s spotted the perfect place to run and get away!
But I bet if you caught that little silver one, you could tame it – that is what we did with Kittypuss and her kittens!
They aren’t evil, so much as surly, Jams, although that little tuxedo should never learn about the existence of Ted.
Moi, get single-payer passed so the emergency room visit won’t cost me all my worldly goods, and I might be convinced to make the attempt. It has never worked in the past with any kitten that has progressed beyond the blue-eyed stage without acting tolerant of people. These really are feral cats, not simply strays.
I’m in love with the grey kitten. NOMNOMNOM!

She will shred, fold, spindle, and mutilate you, LK. She really is feral, and intends to stay that way.
Oh, I know. I’m just nomming her from a distance. 🙂

While the Internet is probably as close as anyone should get to her because I guarantee that 20 feet is as close as I can get before she panics.
The black kitten in the back looks like the neighborhood punk thug….you know, the little tough guy in the gang?
I would put kitty in a towel. Eventually she would be ok. I have tamed wild bunnies, too, that way. They figure out they like it when their ears are scratched…
my two are mackerels though it’s hard to tell with curmudgeon cat. wild child has mostly stripes, a few of which are broken up into spots. mostly tiger and part leopard, in markings and in worldview.
Moi, this cat would be happy if she could scratch your ears, and eyes, and make a lunch of your liver, with or without “fava beans and a nice chianti.”
Hipparchia, some are just like that, as far as attitude goes, and you don’t get anything trying to change their nature.
I’m a sucker for tuxedos.

Time to live trap those babies. Then, you can tame them down and give them away. They are beautiful!
Some of my favorite cats are tuxedos, Jill, including the huge blob currently sleeping wrapped around my foot.
They are not going to be trapped, OWL. No cat in their line has ever been trapped. It is one of the problems of a long term feral cat program. After a while all of the fertile females are from lines too intelligent to be trapped. Their mother won’t let them any where near a trap. A few will calm down at about 4 months and then I can catch them and take them for the operation, but until that happens, there is no chance. If I set a live trap, Tip will go in, set if off, eat the “bait”, and wait to be released. I’ve watched her do it, and she knows exactly what is going to happen in either of the two types of traps used. She purposely sets them off and them eats the bait.
“huge blob!” =^..^=
love it!

If Sox was cutting off the blood flow in your foot, trust me, you wouldn’t be amused.
Spider, the bowling ball sized kitty, loves sleeping on my ribcage. I have the bruises to show for it.

Ah, yes, the kitty heimlich maneuver, that is the pits.
