Hurricane Wind Radius: 30 miles [45 km].
Minimum central pressure: 980 mb ↑.

It is 740 miles [1190 km] West of the Cape Verde Islands.

After yesterday’s burst of development Fred is expected to slow down and lose power.

I have felt that since this storm popped up, Jill. “Monster Hurricane Fred Ravages Coast” just does seem natural. I was unnerved by getting pummeled by Hurricane Dennis, but Fred?
