A NOAA P-3 Hurricane Hunter successfully deployed a Coyote UAV to take readings of the hurricane’s eyewall. The small drones are electric powered and can can be programmed to do things that even Hurricane Hunters think are insane.

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the Turks & Caicos Islands, the Southeastern Bahamas, and the Central Bahamas.
