Fourteen Years
I just realized that yesterday was the 14th anniversary of this experiment of pushing my opinions on the world. It started after what I thought was the greatest possible failure of the US electorate – the reelection of George W. Bush. I obviously underestimated the stupidity of voters.
The possibility of two more years is not comforting. Cholesterol and blood pressure may yet save us.

fourteen years and a day, wow! thank you for sticking around.
as for the stupidity of the voters, always remember that more of them voted for Hillary than for the Donald.
They keep voting against their own best interests. It drives me nuts that people on disability, getting SNAP/food stamps, and using “Obama phones” keep voting for people who want to take all those things away to give Warren Buffett another tax cut.
Congratulations Bryan. And thanks. 😀 Many blogs don’t last half that long.
They way things are going, you’ll be needed for many years yet, sadly. Assuming human’s survive their own greed & stupidity, which currently isn’t looking likely.
As always… time will tell. 🙂
Most people need to make a living. Working from home makes doing this possible.
Still and all, it is better than letting the anger build up to the point you’re yelling at the cats.
Now if I can just get that shower rebuilt and tiled…
Ahhh yes… Renovation fun! Especially when it’s forced. I’m waiting for my own renovation (new oven/cooktop that was promised 6 Months ago by the agent, owners and the plumber/gas-fitter that checked the oven and couldn’t get it working. It’s at least 50 years old.) But it’s out of my hands as I am only a poor renter with few rights. *shrug*
Here… have a laugh! It’s an old-ish Twitter thread started by Bill Maher that attracted the worst pro-trump/GOP Troll/Bot I’ve ever seen! Pro-Islam no less (according to his Bio & other tweets! So, I posted a few tweets that attracted some attention.

Enjoy (when you have time to spare of course)! 🤪😏
The biggest problem around here is finding reliable people to make repairs so I don’t have to. By reliable I mean sober enough to drive, an estimate within 10% of the final cost, and who can show up within a week of booking the job.
I can understand why the troll likes red, it’s part of the name of his favorite newspaper – Red Star. It’s classic GRU agitprop.
