It’s mine and I don’t share!

[Editor: Mini-Sox is protective of his food, with good reason. He is generally the first or second cat I see when I dole out the wet stuff. The camera decided to focus on the house rather than his face, so it’s slightly blurred.]

Ellroon wondered if today’s cat was a “Grumpy Cat”, so I went back to the original photo to get a larger version of just his face … and yeah, he looks grumpy.

He isn’t really, but that down-turned mouth is part of the Siamese-Persian cross that produces a Himalayan. While he was spared the Persian nose, he definitely has the mouth along with the fluffy coat.

[Editor: The kitten with his/her back to the camera is the littermate of the two tuxedos, but the kit facing the camera is the tabby littermate of the first tuxedo, the mini-Sox, and is older. This is the first time I’ve been able to get a picture, as he/she is very skittish.]

Ringo Waits

How long?

[Editor: Ringo has her fur back and the jaw seems to be healing, but there is a stubborn infection. Until the infection is under control the vet doesn’t want to prceed. After the infection is gone there will be x-rays to confirm that the bone has healed and the plastic splint will be removed. Ringo wants out, and she wants kibble.]

[Editor: This the first picture I’ve been able to get of this kitten who is about ten weeks old. It is the first tuxedo among the ferals in years. The marking pattern is shared with Sox, but was also the pattern of this kitten’s grandmother, Tonto, except that she was blue and white. The kitten is a ‘rocket’ and is rarely stationary. This is the first time it has showed up to eat while I was still in the area.]
