Friday Cat Blogging

Nom…Nom…Nom

[Editor: This the first picture I’ve been able to get of this kitten who is about ten weeks old. It is the first tuxedo among the ferals in years. The marking pattern is shared with Sox, but was also the pattern of this kitten’s grandmother, Tonto, except that she was blue and white. The kitten is a ‘rocket’ and is rarely stationary. This is the first time it has showed up to eat while I was still in the area.]

You are the Dispenser Of Food Noms and therefore cannot be too scary… maybe. Maybe Rocketbutt would allow some pats? No? *sigh* How can you live with ferals all over the place and get no rewards for your catfood?

It’s so … FUZZY!

If you want rewards, you just give Excize anything. When she is feeling like contact, Property has a silly dance when you stroke her and will sit up like a meerkat if you scratch the back of her head.

It is necessary for their survival outside that the ferals distrust people. The only reason the kitten was there was because mom and an uncle were also there.

As you say better for a feral to be distrustful of humans. A good survival instinct

It not a bad a bad idea for people, Jams, when the ‘humans’ call themselves politicians. 😉

what a cutie pie!

i almost named the fluffy black dog rocket – not only could he run very fast, but he could clear a 6ft fence from a standstill [which almost got him named jato].

This kitten has only got two settings – stop and all out. It can be startling if you don’t know [s]he’s around, because there will suddenly be a flash of black across your path.

What a nice looking kitten. It’s nice to see some differently colored kitties, now and again. Maybe you can post a picture of the little sweetie when it’s flashing by.

The local population should have the genes for just about any color or pattern, but it is only recently that they have shown up.

I can try, but they only get active in the late afternoon in low light.
