Cheap Shots

Why is Scott Walker dumber than a golden retriever?

Because even a golden retriever can recognize his master’s voice.

Father Tyme at Blonde Sense has a candidate for the best sign ever.

It has been reported that the Koch family and the Mubarak family are both worth $40 billion … Has anyone seen their birth certificates?

Our lords and masters and their tools aren’t the sharpest tools in the toolshed, are they? But then, they don’t have to be — they’ve generally been handed everything on a platter since infancy, so have no more need than a pit bull to be smart. Of course, being dumb doesn’t prevent a pit bull from being a vicious SOB (literally 🙂 )…

Of course, the main problem with holding out hope for America based on the fact that our would-be dictators ain’t the sharpest tools in the toolshed, is that the average American ain’t so sharp either… after all, they elected these Teabaggers to office, remember?

Holding out hope for America is a bit like holding out raw meat for that pit bull… watch your limbs if you’re going to do it despite knowing all the reasons why you shouldn’t.

The biggest problem with being intelligent is that you know the difference between right and wrong. If you are too stupid to decide for yourself, you pick someone to tell you.

As long as people continue to believe that wealth is an indication of intelligence, they will follow wealthy people. This culture is no longer fostering democracy, it is fostering obedience. People aren’t being trained to be leaders, they are molded into followers.

The only reason people think they have found someone with all the answers, is they don’t have many questions.

The problem lay in the fact that we are no longer “citizens”…we are “consumers” and/or “brands.” A good portion of our populace feels good about themselves when they associate with a “WINNING” brand…when they consume the “WINNING” infotainment. Only a “winner” has boucoup bucks…so the herds will follow…unquestioning.

(slight rant brought to you by Trader Joe’s Hazelnut Treasures…the whole freakin’ box.)

Everyone needs a rant food of choice, or it can’t be a good, fulfilling rant.
