Movement: East-Northeast [070°] near 20 mph [32 kph].
Maximum sustained winds: 80 mph [130 kph].
Wind Gusts: 100 mph [160 kph].
Tropical Storm Wind Radius: 115 Miles [185 km].
Hurricane Wind Radius: 35 miles [ 55 km].
Minimum central pressure: 980 mb ↑.

Currently about 45 miles [ 70 km] West-Southwest of Santa Maria island in the Azores.

A Hurricane Warning is in effect for the eastern Azores.

Gordon is weaker this morning, as the effects of the wind shear and cooler surface temperatures are felt, but it will probably still have hurricane strength when it reaches the Azores early Monday UTC.

The current track will have the storm passing over or near Santa Maria island in the Azores. São Miguel and Santa Maria should both be experiencing tropical storm conditions at 7PM CDT, Midnight local time.
