Pity Party

Michele Bachmann decides to ‘honor a commitment’ she never made to an eight-year term limit, so she could spend more time with her attorneys and unspent campaign money, and all of the snarky political people have hit the fainting couch. She may have been one of the easiest Congresscritters to mock, but she is hardly the only one. She tried, but she was never really in the same class as Louie Gohmert of Texas. [Forget birth certificates or drug tests, this requires DNA testing to determine species.]

Stop whining, you’ve had too easy for too long. Get out there and turn over a few rocks. The Tea Party has created a target rich environment in the House, so find a new object of ridicule.

Keep in mind that by holding your choice up to ridicule, you are increasing their political profile, and they might run for President. 😈

The Republican side has such characters that finding a replacement for “Crazy Eyes” Bachmann will be pretty easy. Like Rep. Mark “Appalachian Trail” Sanford, R-South Carolina. Or the Two Kings — Rep. Peter “IRA” King of New York, Rep. Steve “Legitimate Rape” King of Iowa. Or Rep. Paul “Obama is a socialist!” Broun of Georgia, who also believes that science is the work of Satan and it was Jesus’s will for him to shoot and kill a large variety of innocent wildlife for fun. And of course there’s always my homeboy “Diaper Dave” Vitter of Louisiana for grins and giggles.

Hmm… the problem might be too *many* choices. Heh.

Well, the problem is that those guys lack the je ne sais quoi … charisma, presence, that made Ms Bachmann so much fun to ridicule. She seemed to truly believe many of the absurd things she was saying, while half the time that clown posse just seem to be faking it for the marks who vote for them. Among the new batch of Congresscritters you have examples of the marks who also believe what they are saying and got elected. Boehner is still the Speaker because none of the other senior Republicans want to herd the whackoes.

Oh believe me, most of the clown posse I just mentioned truly do believe the stupid things they spout. There’s no way they could say the things they say with a straight face if they didn’t. But you’re right, Bachmann was like the whole clown posse distilled into one batshit-crazy woman…

She was born for the center ring, while most of the posse are only suited to the entry parade.
