Oh, Joy

I got a call today from a friend who stopped by yesterday for a couple of hours that she had tested positive for Covid. She’s vaxxed, so she thought it might be strep or a cold.

I’m in isolation until next Monday when I will get a test to confirm my status. Being in isolation will be better than putting up with tenants. 😈

I’m vaccinated and boosted, so I’m not overly concerned. My worry is that I may be contagious and give it to someone who is immune compromised. I’m not at all concerned about infecting those who have had almost a year to to get vaccinated and didn’t do it. There’s a price for willful ignorance.

Yeah, you should be fine Bryan. And I agree with the rest of your statement. I feel the same way. Though, I am still waiting for my booster (Moderna is the only one I can safely have).

I have three Pfizer’s, but the numbers say the Moderna performs more effectively. After I had gotten my booster they said that the Moderna booster was more effective no matter what your initial series were.

unfortunately, the rest of us pay a price too, when the willfully anti-vaxxed fill up all the hospitals and kill off our doctors and nurses.

more willing to get covid than fix the furnace when it goes out in the middle of an ice storm, eh? we call those people slumlords, and i have rented from them. 😈

otoh, i have to admit that a year+ of lockdown has also meant a lot less of dealing in person with people in general, so it’s not all bad. 🙂

We also pay a price when they are the petri dish that provides the new variants that the responsible people now have to deal with. So far I’ve experienced a sore throat, dry cough, and fatigue which is annoying, but not as bad as the bronchitis I had earlier. I’m feeling better, but I want a positive test before entering society.

These clowns fail and want the Feds to bail them out after bad-mouthing the Feds for months.

Yes, the unvaxxed cause collateral damage which is why I want the test to be sure. I already turned away a tenant with cash in his hand this morning. I know he’s vaxxed, but so was I when I got it and he, the tenant, doesn’t has paid sick leave.

Agree with all of that Bryan. It’s the same here too. 😖🤦‍♂️

Two of my Twitter friends have been hit by Omicron in the last day or so. Thankfully, they are inteligent and have had all their shots (one is an ER Nurse and expected it, even with all the precautions.) They both feel like crap, like a bad chest cold, but should be OK.

Unfortunately, it seems that complete fools are running much of the World.

Good luck Bryan!

Just today we learned that while DeMentis was out on “vacation” one million (1,000,000) tests expired in a warehouse. I’m searching all of the web sites that might have them with no luck while the state of Florida is disposing of the product I’m trying to buy/obtain because the state didn’t make them available for use. To add salt to the wound, the state of New York is handing out ‘at home’ tests to citizens for free. Giving them away for free is better than throwing them in a landfill/tip.

The government of Florida is totally worthless. They run an election campaign and do nothing after being elected.

Sounds like DeMentis was cloned in the same vat as Scummo. 🤷‍♂️🙄😖

The ALP States here are doing better than the LNP States. Curious that, huh? 🤨

I hope you are better Brian and coping as best you can. The World is FUBAR unfortunately. I wish you well, and you hipparchia also.

You want FUBAR? I can’t get a RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) in Florida and you have the same problem, but Lumos Diagnostics, a Melbourne, Australian company, makes the tests in Florida. They make them in Florida because the Australian government wasn’t interested and still hasn’t approved their tests, while the tests are approved in the US and Europe. The Florida government won’t hand out the tests even when they are free from the Federal government.

Democratic states are handing them out for free and you can’t even buy them in GQP states. WTF!

9 Kryten42 { 01.13.22 at 10:24 pm }

Yes. I saw that about Lumos in November (Made in USA, but not which State). I’ll tweet it again with a hat tip to you.

I’m just over it. Wake me when it’s over, or just let me sleep. 🤷‍♂️😖
