Haha a wides old lady! Robyn is getting like that too
Boots apparently isn’t that unusual. Mencken has absolutely no interest in going outdoors either. Of course, the Humane Society caught him while he was scavenging for food in a dumpster, his poor little paws had been pretty well baked by the Arizona heat, so it may be that he simply had all the outdoors he would ever want and now prefers the life of a gentleman.

i had a rescued kitty who, much like mencken, had had all she ever wanted of the outdoors. i think she ventured out ONCE in the 3 years she lived with me and curmudgeon cat and the fluffy black dog.
Boots was a feral kitten, but she was the neighbors’ first cat, and they catered to her. Even though it is now a four cat residence, the feeling is Boots and three refugees on parole. She is definitely the alpha female, which is saying something since CC is the other female.
It is the lack of leather armchairs and brandy that dissuades Robyn, Jams.
Badtux, Mencken has been there, done that, and has no reason to do it again. Very practical attitude.
Ringo is just the opposite, Hipparchia. As long as it isn’t too cold, she prefers being outside. It may be the air conditioning, or the lack of room when she feels like having a cat fit. Koshka was like Boots, if it isn’t carpeted, she shouldn’t be expected to walk on it.
AWWW! Boots is such a cutie pie. With the white markings on her chin, she looks like she’s smiling!
Boots likes my neighbor, and that is about the extent of those she is friendly with among humans and cats. I wouldn’t approach her on a bet.
