Interesting, although I’m not sure Black Tuesday can be fully blamed on Hoover. Nonetheless, his predecessor *was* a Republican so I guess there’s nothing more to add here.
What’s interesting is that the phenomena is not tied to policies. In other words, it’s not really based on what any particular president does, only their party. You have to wonder if it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy.
