No Accountability
On April 26th I reported on claims by Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that MAC-V MNF-I would be showing the media proof of Iranian involvement in attacks on US troops.
Today CTuttle at Main and Central asks: Where’s The Beef? Apparently what they thought were Iranian weapons and munitions turned out not to be, but the media hasn’t bothered to point out this glaring problem. The claims by the administration about Iran have once again been shown to be wrong.
When does the media start reporting that no one in the Hedgemony can be trusted to tell the truth about the Middle East? They lied about Iraq, and now they are lying about Iran. They are involving career military officers in their lies, so there is literally no one left that can be trusted to tell the American people the truth.

ha! i scooped both main and central and asia times!
Yes and no, because the main point that the MSM is ignoring this is true – the LA Times reported it on their blog, but never wrote a story about it.
It was front page for the Hedgemony’s claims, but the blog or inside with the “lost pets” when the claims are refuted by reality.
When I didn’t see anything by May 6th, I knew they blew it, but life intruded.
What percentage of the media is Hedgemony-owned, though?
As corporations it would take a while to trace significant stockholders of the dozen largest media groups – the six major media conglomerates and the half dozen largest print media outlets.
I would assume there are major connections.
yeah, i know. i actually found out about it here.
This is agitprop, psyops, or , as Joe Biden would say, bullshit. The Hedgemony has their own media people and advertising budgets, it is past time for the media to start working for their audience while they still have one, or they are going to be extinct.
well, i’m holding out for extinction myself. they’ve become too inbred to survive.
They are effectively “eating their children” by laying off reporting staff, the people who actually produce the content. You can’t convince them that local reporting is the reason people buy the paper.
content? whuzzat?
murdoch and friends didn’t get to be gazillioonaires by selling what people want to buy, they got there by convincing people to buy what they want to sell. actual reporting uses up resources, primarily money, that could be accruing to the top dogs.
It only works in the sort term. I view these short term strategies as “salting the mine”, a form of fraud, as it weakens the long term potential of the company to make a profit down the road.
Most of the financial world is tied up by tactical thinking, with no vision or ability when it comes to strategy. It hasn’t occurred to them that truly successful investors think of the long term. Taking advice or criticism from people whose paycheck is dependent on “churn”, i.e. constant buying and selling, is rather obviously stupid.
