Almost of these screams about the various threats to the world by this or that group seem to include the phase: “It’s just a matter of time.”
The Islamo-fascists are going to kill us all in out beds if we don’t nuke them and their goats! It’s just a matter of time.
The Iranians are going to wipe out Israel in a thermo-nuclear weapon they don’t actually have! It’s just a matter of time.
The North Koreans are going to launch a massive attack of atomic-tipped ICBMs that they don’t actually have against Topeka, Kansas! It’s just a matter of time.
There’s some truth in the argument. After all, a million years ago visitors from another planet would never have guessed that the descendants of Homo erectus would one day imperil the planet with global climate change, and general messy habits. It was just a matter of time.

Who could have predicted?
What they really need to do is to start watching the people who have the technology needed for the precision machining necessary to actually produce a fieldable weapon. There aren’t that many countries capable of building the tools necessary for the end product, and without those tools, you need several large trucks and a number of technicians to set off an atomic explosion, which would probably be noticed. If it was easy, everyone would have nuclear weapons, because there’s more uranium than tungsten in the world.
They can’t get elected unless people are terrified, Badtux, that’s why they keep bringing out a new bad guy every day.
Jill, if Iran has a nuclear accident in 10 or 20 years, they claim it was really a weapons test and they were right.

Apparently the NorKor are going to attempt another multi-stage launch. I’ll be watching to see if they can get the second stage to start this time. It is liquid fueled, so it might take out their launch site, rather than leaving.
I wonder if the sniffer aircraft picked up anything from their “test”. They could just be detonating explosives in that mine. If they are actually testing a nuclear device the sniffers will find traces in the upper atmosphere.

Actually, there are many different hormones in the water supply thanks to drugs passing through people, and the chemical reactions of things people use, but birth control in the water has a certain charm about it.
Umm… The US *used* to have a very good CIA NOC (one of the few the CIA actually had the past decade that were any good) who was watching the movements of weapons making equipment, people etc… But Rumsfeld/Cheney had her and her entire network destroyed because they didn’t like her husband, and they hated the fact that she was so good at her job, that there was ample proof they were wrong and lying through their collective asses. 🙂
So, all of this *surprising* lack of real information can be blamed totally on the previous Bushmoron administration, but also on Obama for not bringing those responsible to justice because nobody will tell the CIA or USA anything of real truth or value because it’s not worth it and they can’t be trusted. I know I sure as hell wouldn’t, nor would any of my previous active contacts.
That is going to seriously bite the USA on it’s fat, crooked, stupid, ass big time. And *THAT* is just a matter of time! 😉 😆
