Not That I Actually Care

What total garbage – Israelis growing increasingly anxious about Obama policies.

You know what “policies” the Israelis are anxious about – those policies that expect the Israelis to do what they have agreed to do. The Israelis are anxious about the fact that the “wink and nod” have been removed from the relationship, and words have meanings.

The Israelis don’t want to be required to fulfill their side of the bargain. They can’t just say they are going to do something, they have to actually do it.

If the Israelis don’t want to make an effort to abide by their agreements, cut them loose and move on. There is no real benefit to the US from Israel, there are only costs, in lives as well as money.

Perhaps you remember reading it in the platform of the National Union party in Netanyahu’s coalition, as their solution to the “Palestinian problem” as opposed to the platform of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, which merely calls for the expulsion of all non-Jews from Israel, but was rewarded with the Foreign Ministry.

Ethnic cleansing – everyone does it these days.

If you think Israel is so important, have your country’s taxpayers start forking over several billion pounds a year to support them.

Agree Bryan. The Isralies epitomize the concepts ‘talk is cheap’ and emotional blackmail. They’ve been using both for decades. The USA seems to have a National form of ‘spousal abuse syndrome’ with regards to Israel. May as well just get married and be done with it. 😉 😆

Turkey has been a reliable ally in the Middle East for more than half a century and have backed up their support with blood. Israel is only concerned with Israel.

It’s their right to only be concerned with themselves, but there is no need to involve the US in their self-absorbed dreams.

I personally believe that the world would be a better place if the US starting minding its own business, and stopped trying to mind everyone else’s.

Good post, good comments. Pretty much what I think when I hear the news blurbs on the radio, as I drive to and from work.

Support should be mutual, not all one way.

I have nothing against the Israelis, but some of their governments leave a lot to be desired if you are aligned with them.
