RIP Andante
A friend and the individual most responsible for convincing me to blog, Andante of Collective Sigh, died on Tuesday, June 16th, after a long battle with cancer.
Her voice will be missed.
Update: Her last post on May 1st featured this performance of the Italian version of Taps.

I was worried when she hadn’t posted anything since early May. I will miss her voice on the tubes too. Nice lady.
I was worried every time she went silent, but when her last post was that beautiful version of the Italian Taps I wondered if she wasn’t saying something musically that she really didn’t want to say aloud. We were both military brats and Taps has special meaning for us.
Damn.
Such a loss to lose another vibrant voice on the internet(s)

Oh, sad.
*sniffles*

Things were looking good in the Spring, but apparently it had spread wider than they originally thought.
She was a master of metaphor, summing up a situation with a minimum of words and transforming it into something anyone could understand.
that was my thought too, about the taps video.

She was musician and military, so I had to doubt it was accidental, although it was beautiful.
I am saddened beyond words. andante was one of the first bloggers who paid attention to me, and was a real kindred spirit. Losing andante is losing a friend as surely as losing a colleague. “I shall not look upon [her] like again.”
That is one of the reasons I didn’t write more, I couldn’t. We shared a lot of things in common because of both being military brats and a shared interest in several areas.
I time I will write more, but the loss is too real at the moment.
Thank you for putting that little Blogmother graphic at the top. I would not have known… The rain up here has meaning now…

She was a special person and will be deeply missed.
I’m really sad about this. I didn’t know Andante as well as you all, but what I knew of her I liked. I knew she was not well, but this was unexpected nonetheless.
R.I.P. Andante. You will be missed. I truly hope you have found peace.
It seems like an instant, and then an eternity.
