Say It Ain’t So, Doc
Well, the Miami Herald was busy yesterday on the medical fraud front: Feds: Miami-based Medicare fraud ring busted, and Medicare fraud probe targets 53 suspects in Miami, elsewhere.
There were two separate cases of fraud being pursued by the Feds at the same time, and both involved the Republican, capitalistic, Cuban entrepreneurs, and members of the medical professions from Miami. When the Feds closed in a number of the people involved decided that Fidel wasn’t so bad.
Hundreds of millions are being stolen from insurance companies by these schemes. They should be sentenced to two weeks in an HCA hospital as a patient, but the Constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishments.

Unfortunately, when people read the headlines of these stories, it seems that DEMOCRATIC VOTING POOR INDIVIDUALS are making millions off of Medicare…stealing from the system, when in fact, most of these Medicare Fraud cases deal with doctors and corporations gaming the system.
Personally, I think you drag these folks’ sorry asses into court quickly and when convicted they lose their Social Security monies and are barred from practicing any sort of medicine for life (after they get out of jail, of course…)
I’m sure it’s not legal, but I have NO patience for these slugs.
It is amazing how many people think that poor people are scamming the system, not realizing that you have to have money to scam anyone.
You need some type of medical license to scam Medicare, and that should always be one of the first things to go.
