When the computer models are mostly squiggles in one spot, with outliers as far apart as the Florida peninsula and the Texas-Mexico border, there’s not much to do except check one’s supplies and look again later.
(I just discovered that Stella used every single AA battery in that package I bought two weeks ago, and it was a big package of good batteries. Apparently she filled up her multitude of small lanterns and flashlights when we had a morning-long power outage from a transformer failure. Oh well; back to the store tomorrow…)
The current forecast has it hanging a hard right turn after sideswiping the Yucatan and hitting western Cuba. There must be a high pressure ridge across the Gulf.
