Seal of the Public Health Service

The United States government has been in health care in this country longer than any health insurance company, drug company, the American Medical Association, or any of the other current organizations who demand to be heard. The creation of the Public Health Service in 1798, should be a rather solid clue as to what the “Founding Fathers” thought about the role of the government in the health care area.

Those “birthers”/”deathers” don’t need no stinking facts.

Well, facts are only really useful for those with a capacity for rational thought.

AH yes, the U.S. Public Health Service — one of America’s seven uniformed services, and the one most conveniently overlooked by tea shouters and birth-baggers who love the troops.

The guys in NOAA have to be the least familiar to people who don’t have interest in weather. The Surgeon General should be familiar to most Americans, although they probably don’t understand that s/he has other people in uniform below her/him.

No need to pile on with the VA, FDA, CDC, NIH, etc. – Federal agencies concerned with health care, along with the military medical branches.

I was born just after World War II and all of these “ancient practices” that everyone thinks are so bloody holy, were created during my lifetime. Take note, that I make no claim to being one of the “Founding Fathers”, as some of these people seem to be implying.

Facts just annoy the little voices in their little heads. These morons can have a conversation with themselves within the confines of their own skulls, tell big lies to themselves, and believe them to be true.

I get a headache even trying to understand that concept.

Well… I guess it does prove that their are truly alien lifeforms living amongst us. They are easy to spot by the sane thankfully. You know one as soon as it speaks.

From the reviews I’ve seen, our capital district, the District of Columbia, has a lot in common with the new movie, District 9, which is apparently inhabited by aliens. The people generally don’t speak the same language as the rest of the population. Oh, the words sound familiar, but they obviously have different meaning.

Stupidity is the real pandemic affecting the world. Too bad the US doesn’t have the ability to deal with it.
