Short Takes
The Chelsea Flower Show is taking place, which is a great spring trip to Britain if you ever have the opportunity.
Has anyone heard why James Wolcott is down? The site was up on Monday, but has been blank yesterday and today. Has he had an attack of Corrente, disappearing into the ether to reappear later?

Interesting… you can ping it successfully, but “there’s no there there” at the moment.
I forgot: U.S. study sees no marijuana link to lung cancer.
Well, who in the world could smoke 40 joints a day? If we’re going to compare apples to oranges, at least let’s compare similar quantities.
I’ve never managed to smoke anything; I can’t stand breathing in the stuff. Both my parents were addicted to tobacco; maybe they’d have lived longer if they had been hooked on demon weed. They would probably have been mellower, too.
The guys who did the study were surprised because people tend to hold the marijuana smoke in their lungs longer, and there is less filtering, so they expected the same link.
Actually, the site ate itself while I watched. I went back on Tuesday to get a link and there was a new post, but the post I wanted was cut off in the middle. When I hit re-load all I received was a blank screen.
Wolcott’s site is up again. There’s no explanation that I saw, though I didn’t read everything.
I checked, and he didn’t mention it, so maybe it happened during a post and posting a new item rebuilt the page.
When we visited family last week, my niece and nephew were really excited about attending the Chelsea flower show! It’s definitely the thing to do there.
Too bad you couldn’t have seen it, Elayne, it is just amazing. I preferred it to the tulips in the Netherlands because of the amazing diversity,
