"A person who has a cat by the tail knows a whole lot more about cats than someone who has just read about them."
Mark Twain
"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Friday Ark #128…
We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Do link to the…
Sox: “Maybe I’ll fit if I just fold my tail.. unh… unnnnhhh… I know it’ll work…”
A comfy spot is a comfy spot even if it is needed to protect a laptop.. Curled up like that Sox is the spitting image of Ted!
Sox is a bit too chunky to fold well, Steve, he prefers to flop.
Excuse me, Jams, but Ted climbs. Sox doesn’t climb. The only time you would look up to see Sox is in bed when he decides to flops on your chest, which is fortunately a rare event. Sox on the edge of a roof doesn’t even bear thinking about.
You’ll need a bigger laptop.
Sox is more suited to a Pullman than a laptop,
KarenEllroon [and you can parse than line with multiple definitions].Could be worse. Sox could live at my place, where I carry the laptop in a generic, sturdy, well-padded backpack, with lots of zip-up pockets for all the stuff that goes with it. Stella’s girls sniff at it, but never attempt to enter it, and it’s too rough for sitting on top to be comfy.
Could Sox please teach Tabitha not to plop down on someone’s chest? By choice, Tabitha picks Stella (for obvious reasons), but lately she has decided that I’ll do in a pinch. Fortunately, Tabitha is pretty lightweight, doesn’t claw (much), and purrs like crazy, right in your face. She’s a sweet cat, but her need for affection is everyone’s number one priority; just ask her.
Steve, you would be dumping Ringo out of your backpack constantly as you looked for the contents. Sox insists that he is only allowed to teach bad habits – it’s a street cred thing.
Ah, he fits well enough to get a good nap:)
Sox can nap anywhere, like most cats.
