Éireann go Brách!

Well everyone agrees that he died on March 17th, but the year is subject to debate. This is his feast day on the Catholic calendar. Enjoy as you are wont.

Wikipedia has more on Saint Patrick’s Day, if you need more.

Enjoy the day Bryan… my plans exclude green beer, riverdancing or any bacon, cabbage and boils spud feast!

May the snakes that plague our island
be driven forever into the swamps of despair,
ne’er again to plague the great hearts o’ the working peasantry
who ask naught but a neighbor’s kind care.

And a good green day to ya, Bryan.

For the record, I have one Irish great grandfather who was buried in the national cemetery next to New Orleans. When I get a chance I need to go over and see if he made it through Katrina, as many of the graves were washed away.
