"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Those ears swept back are a pretty good indicator of impending action. Ironically, 19-year-old Tabitha is more likely than 13-year-old Samantha to assume that posture… and to follow up on it, until Stella intervenes.
Good picture, Bryan. I envy you your ability to snap exactly at “the decisive moment.”
If you hold the button down and can store 250 pictures, one of them is apt to be decent. That’s what print photographers have always claimed and with digital you can do it.
Yes, the ears back is definitely not good news for someone,
SOme cat or cats are going to be severely chastised by look sof it. I take it that she rules with a paw of iron?
LOOK! Her eyes are open! You’re getting good at this.
There are several teenager cats about who are not showing the proper respect, so she will play “bowling with kitties” to straighten them out. She is bigger than the ferals, but her boys are big cats now who aren’t all that bothered anymore when she swats them.
It’s outdoors, LK, so the flash isn’t needed. Closed eyes is all I get indoors.
Ringo is a cat setting a good example. I should spend more time outside, too! Yes, those ears look ready for a round of zooming. I’ve seen it before the thundering paw noise hits the hallways at my house.
Ringo is just being her lovely, nasty self, looking for someone to pick a fight with when she gets bored. But at least she’s doing it outside, and the feral give as good as they get.
You know, if they slick their ears back like that they can run faster.
Probably, and it keeps them from getting ripped if somecat doesn’t like being nailed with a paw.
