"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

pretty cool duo, a blogiversary and getting published.
Once I get over the shock of “writing the check” on Sunday and some vet bills so the boys can be “tutored”, I probably get a copy.
i had some emergency ‘tutoring’ done 2.5 months ago, when the two females i can’t catch decided they were in the mood for love. it was a sleepless weekend, with various cats barricaded behind the few doors i’ve got. i showed up at the vets bright and early that monday morning with two large carriers full of just-barely-old-enough-for-surgery boy cats. i don’t know if they had some empty surgery slots, or if they just made room for the crew, but they fixed everyone right up. 🙂
i’d been on pins and needles ever since, waiting to see (1) if the bank account would recover in time for tax day [it did], and (2) if i was going to have another batch or two of kittens on hand for tax day [i didn’t, thanking every last one of my lucky stars].
still have a few more grrrls to take care of, but at least now i have some breathing room.
books! what is it with all you people tempting me to break my new years resolution?!
When it’s “time” for the “grrrls” you don’t get much sleep or breathing space, but the boys are driving me nuts right now.
You don’t have to buy books. Keith has made the PDF available for download.
