Mea culpa. When I discussed the filibuster of the Ledbetter bill I didn’t make it clear that this was about all types of discrimination, not just based on sex. As ‘Noz, who works in the field of labor law, points out, if you want Repub votes to break the filibuster Dems need to remind them that this affects people who feel they are discriminated against because of their religion.
It doesn’t make any difference what the reason for the discrimination [sex, age, race, religion, et al.], the Supreme Court has imposed a major hurdle to an individual getting justice.
If the Republicans are concerned about a rash of law suits, they could just make the conduct a capital crime and execute a few CEOs and the practice would end, because everyone knows what a great deterrent capital punishment is. 😈

Ummm… yeah! LOL 😀
I have the perfect candidate for the first CEO to make an example of (for sooooooo many reasons!)
Have you read this breaking story via Reuters?
Hacker testifies News Corp unit hired him
And of course, what could anyone expect of a 100% Repuglican lovin company? I’m surprised that anyone is actually surprised that News Corp has been breaking the law for a decade at least! LOL This will be worth watching closely!
And BTW, emphatically NO!! We do NOT want Murdock back, and Aus is not to blame! Rupe is a 100% American GOP Capitalist. There is ample proof to back up this claim. 😀
You can hang him, or send him to China. Whatever.
Cheers!
Rupert has been hanging out in Britain lately, probably hoping to pick up a peerage for his “contributions to society” as a cut-throat media mogul.
I expect him to return to his roots, sex, as his politics have proven to be a bit out of favor lately and his media enterprises are paying the price.
“Reverse engineering” – yeah, right, that’s why he was paid in cash concealed in electronic equipment, because he was just doing a bit of reverse engineering.
