He’s Consistent

'Weepy John' BoehnerAs he has shown since he refused to permit the last US veteran of World War I, Frank Buckles, to lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda before his burial at Arlington, John Boehner has consistently shown a total lack of respect for the “norms” of polite society in Washington.

That was followed by his refusal to host a Cinco de Mayo celebration at the Capitol, despite the bi-partisan tradition of doing so.

And now, the House is refusing to issue the normal and traditional resolution praising the SEAL mission.

It is interesting how readily “conservatives” cast aside the small pieces of tradition.

A consistent jerk. It would have been a fine gesture to lie in state prior to interrment in Arlington

I fail to believe that Australia won’t produce a much more respectful farewell to Claude Choules, than Frank Buckles received in the US, as a result of Boehner.

Civility has become a scarce commodity in today’s GOP. I cannot help thinking that Boehner rejected these traditional things because he does not want to be civil to anyone on Obama’s watch. What a bastard! Buckles deserves better. Hell, we deserve better.

That really is pretty low, even for a cowardly snake like Blubbering Boner.

I think it’s only partly to do with being civil while Obama is Prez. It’s probably more to do with Boner being a lazy SOB who can’t be bothered and couldn’t care less (if there was money involved – for him I mean – then he’d be all over it like an orange skin on an orange). 😈

And no, we treat our Vet’s much better (though, we’ve had our share of low points also). *shrug*

The GOP doesn’t care, and only worries about “the base”. The Dems, if they had a spine, should be pounding Boehner for not respecting the military. They spent years beating the Dems over the head for not “supporting the troops”. It seems to me that the Dems really have an obligation to jump all over this.
