[Editor: Tonto is on watch outside my Mother’s kitchen door. She has one or more kittens somewhere in the vicinity, as she has reappeared at the evening feeding after an absence. She is watching me and then watching an azalea, so I assume the litter is in the bushes.]

She looks every inch the watchful mother
I think she has become the most senior female, Jams. She is not, however, a very successful mother. Her sister, the Lone Ranger, would have an average of four kittens survive, but Tonto rarely has more than one or two.
She is, however, very good at discipline.
Tonto is a beauty! It’s nice that she has only one or two kittens. I hope that’s all she actuallygives birth to.
Tonto has an excellent ‘birthing place’, as I have never found it. She shows up at a feeding station with one or two kittens, when it is time to start the weaning process. I have no idea how many are born, only how many she brings for weaning.
