News organizations got the joke a lot quicker in the old days. They are still running the OBL stories this week. It may well prove to be the longest death scene is theater history.

You are thinking of Nick Clegg, Mr. Duff.

I understand that George W. Bush is not longer President of the United States.

You are reading that Northern propaganda in the New York Times, Rook.

OT: Glad to see you are back on the bike. You might be ready for France in July …. or not.

I can’t resist this! 😈 😛

Yo sure ’bout dat? ’cause… to us all out here, it all looks like… “same old, same old!” Nothing much has changed, just the name on the desk. *shrug*

Kryten, the original Saturday Night Live program that featured Gilda Radner, Jane Curtain, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Garret Morris, Dan Aykroyd, Laraine Newman had several running gags [including one that featured Jim Henson and an early version of what would be Muppets]. One of them was Chevy Chase doing a fake news show, Weekend Update. For weeks after Francisco Franco died in 1975, Chase would start the bit with: “Francisco Franco is still dead.” That’s why Jill mentioned Franco. You had to be there to get the reference.

Yes, it is difficult to tell the difference between Bush and Obama on a lot of issues.
