Just Plow It Under

After seeing this great cartoon by Joel Pett of the Lexington Herald-Leader, I decided to see if the Republicans actually had someone to run against Zero. Most of the coverage of “contenders” has been in the Entertainment or Off Beat sections of the news sites.

One of places with the longest list was ABC News [the American “BC”] and its listing of Republican Presidential Contenders for 2012.

What a sorry group of people. Any of them that might actually attract voters in a general election, won’t get by the filter of the primaries. If this is “the cream of the crop”, they should just plow “the crop” under and wait for the next season.

Zero is like the IDF, he looks brilliant because he’s lucky in his enemies. If the Republicans ran one sane and intelligent candidate against Zero, he’d be toast. But that clown circus? T-Paw is duller than watching paint dry, Romney is hated by the batshit lunatics who pack GOP primaries (who don’t like the fact he wears magic undies either), the rest of them are wannabes, nobodies, so unlikeable that even Republicans would have trouble voting for them, or outright loonies. It’s like the IDF taking on Syria and Egypt simultaneously in 1967… could anybody really doubt the outcome, given the assorted incompetents they were going up against? It was like Zero against Grampa Simpson and the Wassily Snowbilly in 2008 — it was no contest.

Of course we know what happened when the IDF went against a real enemy, in 2006 when they took on Hezbollah and got their butts handed to them starting at hour one (when one of their supposedly impregnable Merkava tanks made it a whole hundred yards into Lebanon before blowing up like a friggin’ New Year’s fireworks display), and that enemy was armed mostly with 1960’s Soviet gear and improvised explosives. Similarly, if the GOP could round up even one halfway sane and competent candidate and get him nominated, Obama would be in trouble. But this clown parade? The only thing Obama needs fear is that their clown car might stall in the middle of Pennsylvania Avenue and cause a traffic tie-up near the White House… that’s the closest any of this bunch is getting to the White House, yo.

It would be a cage match between T-Paw and Michele Bachmann for bragging rights in Minnesota, and no one knows who he is. His last national exposure is when the bridge collapsed into the Mississippi, now there’s a recommendation for higher office.

Romney is the choice of the Village, but the GOP base won’t vote for him. The GOP doesn’t have any national candidates, it’s really pathetic.

The Repukians do have a sorry lot to contend with. At this point any serious candidate that might even consider entering the primary is seriously reconsidering their options. With all the SAH’s (Stupid A$$ Holes) that are already announce a legitimate candidate would be afraid of getting mentioned in the same article as one of them.
When compared against Michelle Bachmann, even Sarah Palin looks like a friggin genius.
It’s still early in the game though and no telling who or what will come crawling out of the Repukian garbage pile.

If the Republicant have a viable candidate, that individual is well hidden. With the front-end loading of the whack-jobs in the primaries, it is difficult for a serious candidate to make a run in either party.
