I remember Neil bouncing around on the Moon and asking my mother, puzzled, “Why’s he bouncing like that?” “Low gravity, he’s on the moon and so he weighs less.” “Oh.” This anniversary always makes me sad, because it’s been downhill ever since then. Oh sure, we have these fancy computer toys, but we can’t do anything big anymore, it seems. We were can-do America back then. Today… we can’t. Can’t provide a good education for all our children. Can’t make sure that everybody has enough to eat and a place to sleep. Can’t send men into space, period, unless it’s on a Russian rocket. Can’t, can’t, can’t, can’t, can’t. The only thing you ever hear anymore is what America can’t do. I don’t think I ever heard that word growing up, at least not in reference to America. Today, it’s all we hear.

Yeah, I has a sad… :(.

There is no one at the top who can see beyond the next quarter. No one in charge has any ‘big ideas’.
