This Is Just Pathetic

In fairness, it seems to me that TypePad (is that still Six Apart?) bears some of the responsibility here. I’m just sayin’.
Frankly, I don’t see the justification, unless something else beyond what PP talks about was alleged. If you write about politics and public people, you can certainly mention their names. If you run for office, you become a “public person” and have to prove actual malice before you can sue someone.
I must assume they have some weird rules for use, which was one of the reasons that I didn’t restart at Blogger after they nuked my old site – they changed the rules.
i see he’s got an attorney working on it. good.
But that isn’t going to help him with TypePad, so he’ll still be shutting down.
WordPress says they can import TypePad posts and comments, so he might consider that, but I don’t want to interfere with his decision making process. This has been a bit of a shock, being attacked by “your own side” and I can relate.
