Nice, Lisa, really nice. [this is what living on the Panhandle does to you.] 😈

i’m not a regular visitor to ahnc becuase i have an intractable case of sds — scarborough derangement syndrome — and somehow i always end up the joe scarborough page there. bad for my mental health.
but it’s a great site, and those imposter photos are wonderful.
Lisa started the site while living in Navarre, then she moved to Alabama to save money and avoid hurricanes, and now she commutes between Alabama and Costa Rica.
One of the problems with buying land in Costa Rica is, while the land is really cheap, you have to live there at least part of the year or the land reverts to the government under an absentee ownership law that a lot of Americans didn’t notice when they bought the land.
The law was in the deed paperwork of a couple of people I know who got burned, so they aren’t trying to hide it. The problem was that people needed land and there was a lot of empty land that belonged to foreigners. They didn’t want the people moving into the unspoiled wilderness areas, so they passed this law.
Joe is definitely a piece of work, even for this area.
