Tiny, seemingly insecure perches must look very different to cats, and especially to kittens. I suppose that at that size and weight, they don’t fear falling nearly as much as we do. But some of them, especially some feral kittens, seem to fear people a lot, even people they recognize, even people who feed them. There aren’t many around our complex, but the few I see generally won’t stop to socialize.
Their Mom isn’t exactly friendly, but she come to me when I have anything in my hand that could be food, and I give her extra because she has kittens, but the kittens really freak.
I am sure you look very treacherous to little kittens. They see their Mamma being cautious and take it to extreme. Sort of like some human kittens with Santa Claus or clowns.
So cute!
The bigger question is how are they going to get down. Oh, yes the ladder is four feet high. Whew! The jump is not a problem then.
SRP, the ladder is leaning against a live oak and the bark provides easy climbing for kittens. That was their route to the top. I assume Momma went up there for a rest and it didn’t work.
Andante, “HO, HO, HO!” is pretty scary.
I love this picture! Those kittens are so cute.
Thanks, Cotton is cute peering out from his hiding space.
I feel Like I ought to see Dorothy and the Tin Man coming, arm-n-arm, around the corner!
Can’t say that I don’t think more of the flying monkeys than the Munchkins.
Once again, a great shot.
I need a better camera, but I have to convince myself to justify the expense.
