The Arrogance of These People

First read this post at Peripetia.

Then have a look at this poster at Culture Ghost. [The quote on the top of the poster is accurate.]

Which individual do you think is more deserving of empathy and sympathy?

Update: If you need time to decide Mad Kane provides the music.

I posted this letter from the widow/soldier/mother and the bulk of it is the same. Another blog posted it but there was additional verbiage on the front end. Now I see it with additional verbiage on the backend. Something funny here.

It originally was a post at Craig’s List and Karen posted the entire thing. Other people have been editing. If you hit the internal link at Bump, she goes to the original, which is what Karen has reproduced.

Well Len forwarded it without a link – so this dweeb can only post what she gets!

But Incredible letter.

And sums up why I don’t just dislike this admin…but I hates them as evil, torturing, lying bastards who can shed all the crocodile tears they like (like Laura Bush and her *Oh…we suffer SOOOooo Much* — BARF) but it wont bring back even one of their victims.

If it bothers them, unlike the troops, they can stop it.

Len, has always been careful about sourcing.

Well – I think it is from one his emailer lists that he subscribes to…but usually he does give me a url link too (when he has them).

🙂

He may not blog anymore but he likes to *source*me information – Hehhehehe!

Len may have been a lawyer in the Navy, but he owns a German Shepherd, so he’s worthy of trust.

Yeah, German Shepherds must be trustworthy; after all, J.S. Bach wrote about one: “Schäfe können sicher weiden, wo ein guter Hirte wacht.” (Cue the world’s most saccharine paired-recorders part in 3-2-1…)

(In English, the movement is known as Sheep may Safely Graze. Or, in the worst first-line translation ever, “Sheep may safely, while their shepherd watches, graze in pastures green.” There’s no accounting for taste, or lack of it.)

Literally “sheep may safely graze where a good shepherd watches,” but the literal translation for deutscher Schäferhund is German Sheep dog.
