This And That
So, there’s a lot going on in ‘real life’ which limits my available time to write and the tropics have calmed down with cold fronts mugging both Nadine and Oscar to limit the boiler plate posts.
I liked Dave Johnson’s post, So DO Tax Cuts Create Jobs?, but for my own reason. If someone thinks that there is a causative link between the top marginal tax rate and jobs, they will certainly agree that we simply need to look at the historical data to find the optimal rate.
Actually the best rate not only for job growth, but for the GDP, and the deficit turns out to be between 75% and 80%. Just look at the charts and it is obvious. I get the feeling that the people who decided to promote a linked relationship didn’t do much research.
I wonder if anyone is considering showing up at Rmoney events with a large yellow foam hand that has the appropriate digit extended. Someone really should be following Mitt the Twit around with a big yellow bird…
So, do you think the Congressional Republican witch hunt on the Benghazi consulate attack will include testimony from the Republican House caucus that voted to cut massive amounts of money from the State Department’s budget for security at embassies and consulates?

No comments? Can’t have that! 😈
I hope ‘real life’ is working out for you Bryan. 🙂 I sure do understand! I have to rebuild 2 external HDD’s because we had a power failure whilst they were copying files (via a laptop not on the UPS). Typical.
Anyhow… I came across this item on a site I like to visit now and then, and immediately thought of mitt the Moron and co!
Tobacco smoke enemas were like dialing 911 before the invention of the telephone
Perhaps this is what they mean by “The good old day’s of medicine?”. I think it should be reintroduced and given to all GOPers and their supporters. (And Faux bobble-heads!) Ahhhhhh… I just can’t stop smiling! 😈
To quote our Medicare TV ad: “I feel better now!” LMAO
Errrmmmm…
Should I have put a health warning on that post? 😕 🙄
Just in case there is anyone wondering why I am suggesting the above procedure is appropriate for Rethugs… I give you… Case in point!
Georgia Republican: Big Bang Theory, Evolution and Embryology are “Lies Straight from the Pit of Hell”
What can one say? 🙄
Well, there ya go Bryan! Three quotes to get this thread rolling! 😀
Just trying to help. 😉
Ahem. Sorry… I really was going to leave it at 3 comments… no, REALLY!
But I just watched TDS where Jon comments on the ummm… (so called) presidential debate between Mitt the Moron, and Obama the total dumbass! (Honestly, could you tell the two apart?) Anyway, if you haven’t seen it, you really, really should! There have been some great TDS shows this year, but this is definitely on my top-3 list! and Jon debates with O’Reilly for added laughs! 😆
TDS Full Episode – October 04, 2012 – Bill O’Reilly
“Bill O’Reilly outlines his training regimen for “The Rumble 2012” and wonders why Obama didn’t broach Romney’s “47 percent” comment during the presidential debate.”
O’Really? Hell… I’m wondering why ‘Der Prez’ didn’t say diddly squat about anything, especially ALL the BS Mitty was spouting during the ‘debate’!
You know… it may just be possible for Mitt to win, thanks to Obama’s help. Maybe that’s the plan? Just sayin!
It really doesn’t matter who win’s in truth. You are all so screwed.
You beat me to Broun, but I was saving it for this evening. I’ve had relatives in town along with everything else, and my time has been extremely limited.
The original purpose of a hysterectomy was to treat hysteria in women, kind of like neutering a cat to calm it down, so I’m not overly impressed with the medical ‘profession’. Up until the 1960s many asthma medications were delivered via cigarettes. There isn’t much that a doctor might do that would surprise me. I always look for signs of Christianity when my Mother visits a new doctor, because I trust ‘religious’ doctors the least.
A number of people have posted the TDS video, and I may look at it if I get some time.
Actually, for entertainment value, Tony Abbott set up Julia Gillard to make her best and most effective speech in Parliament. Abbott really stepped in the deep guano with this issue. I don’t know if it will change anything in Australian politics, but it was Gillard’s best moment so far. Too bad it didn’t have much to do with running the government.
Perhaps this is what they mean by “The good old day’s of medicine?”.
that may explain why doctors got paid in chickens and were frequently poor as church mice in the good old days of medicine.
Actually mice are fairly intelligent and if there was nothing to eat they would leave, so if there were church mice, there must have been a lot of cracker crumbs. [When I grew up we actually had real bread, but it should have been matzo to be authentic. Oh, they also used grape juice, which was disappointing.]
I have always been suspicious about people who continue to “practice”. When do they figure out how to do it? 😉
