Kittens – what can you do?
[Editor: I’ve been trying to get a picture of the three kitten at the food dish, as they just discovered solid food on Wednesday. The Lone Ranger appreciates the change, but the kittens wouldn’t cooperate.]

Ah – trying to get them to enjoy feeding at the ole kitty *trough* eh? 😉
In fairness to the other cats, I set up a separate feeding station for kittens because the other cats will defer to them and they tend to walk through the food or sleep in the big kibble bowl.
Well really, what is better than sleeping in your food bowl?
What a patient mother cat! And what a soft little kitten!
Sleeping in a food bowl? Well I have woken up once or twice face down in a take away curry, purchased after a night on the beer..
Luckily teh not wife would serioulsy berate me if I tried that now!
Ellroon, that kitten is attitude from tail to whiskers. If you approach s/he will fluff up, arch, go stiff legged, and hiss. They are a hoot, trying to act tough.
No one is responsible for anything they buy to east after midnight on a pub run. Curry isn’t bad compared to the boiled eggs and prawns we use to buy in Spain after a night of sangria.
Kittens today. I tell ya!
Yep. In the old days they did what they were told and meow about it. I blame it on all the new cat toys.
That’s a nice photo, though. Black and white cats are so very pretty. A picture of a hissing kitten would really be cute:)
Bless yer kitty-lovin’ heart. Beautiful babies. It’s so hard to not try and hold them, if even for a little while, when they’re so fluffy and beautiful and funny and bouncy.
Unfortunately, I’ve learned from experience that they tend to view me, any closer than arm’s length, as a big predator who’s going to eat them (or have their little nuts cut off), and they react accordingly. Can’t blame them, I’m the one encroaching on their turf, and they were here before I was, so I take my scratches and bites and try to keep my tetanus shots updated.
I keep trying to get one, OWL, but no luck so far.
As a friend use to say, we are all ax murderers to kittens. It is a survival instinct, and serves them well, Annti.
