Doing nothing with grace style and a lot of attitude!
She certainly has lounging down pat, Jams.
i’ve considered buying some of those concrete pavers, or maybe some cinder blocks, to put in front of the windows in the florida room for the cats to lie on this winter.
Those are 18-inch squares, and they really are effective heat sinks. The cheap way is to buy a small bag of concrete and put together a frame to make your own. One of my neighbors made all of her stepping stones that way – 1X2″ wood to create the squares, water, a wheelbarrow, a hoe, and a bag of concrete.
You can make them the exact size you want, and as thick as you want.
Oh, put the frame on garbage bags or a tarp so you don’t have to worry about killing the grass with the concrete.
Hey, now… She is too doing something! She’s looking cuuuuuuute! She sure is a beauty!
Her specialty is lounging, OWL. She would probably prefer that you though of her as dangerous, but that requires work.
What a look! Nice photo and wonderful model!
Actually it is surprising how relaxed Lutu has turned out to be, given the attitude of her mom, Ms Underhouse.
I’m still trying to get a good picture of Weasel of the bushy tail.

i considered that too, but i’d have to buy the wheelbarrow first. and then, because i have no storage space, i’d have to turn it into a planter in the front yard. although for halloween next year, a wheelbarrow full of eyeball plants by the front door would be pretty darn cool…
i was originally thinking of just getting a few of the large squares like lutu is lounging on, but some of my cats are incorrigible perchers so i should probably get some cinder blocks too.
If they get sunlight, they definitely heat up. Both the warming and cooling times are slow, but they are popular during the winter afternoons, and summer mornings.
sunlight is guaranteed. i’ve got several floor-to-ceiling windows, and there’s one corner of the room that’s especially popular on cold-but-sunny days.
