Mark Twain
"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
"The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it."

Thanks! 😉
It’s a nice day (thank G*d for AirCon!) Aussies are doing well in the Cricket, I have an ice cold (non-alcoholic) beverage, and a roast in the oven! 😀
I’m not actually watching the Cricket, but my housemate has the TV on and I can hear it from my office. I’m playing with CentOS x86_64 and the XEN Paravirtualization system (I’m attempting to mimic the hosting environment taht my Scottish hosting company has created for me, so I can develop locally with some confidence that it will work when I upload it! That’s the theory anyway…) 😉 😆
The Company we host with (OpenITC, though the actual Hosting company is called XenVZ) are based in Dundee, Scotland, Been with them since last April, and they have been most excellent! 😀
Cheers!
Actually air conditioning is credited to a rather loopy doctor from Apalachicola [the tip on the bump on the Florida Panhandle]. He was wondering if it would cure disease, but it made living in Florida possible for retired New Yorkers. Unintended consequences will get you every time.
It’s a day off, you’re supposed to be setting off fireworks and cooking on the grill, although I suspect that both are frowned upon given the fire conditions.
