happy earth day to you too!
love the photo.
It’s a new one from NASA. The old one was centered on the Indian Ocean.
Give a few palm trees a big sqeeze for me. 🙂
.-= last blog ..happy earth day =-.
Ooh, centered on the Indian Ocean, on the hemisphere where most of humanity lives. We can’t have that. After all, everybody knows it’s really the United States that is the center of the universe. 🙂
I suspect more Americans would celeberate Earth Day if they actually knew that anything existed outside of their own country. That whole “What do you call a person who knows only one language? American.” thingy again…

Sorry, Jill, but palm trees are non-native and pretty dangerous in our “little weather disturbances” because of a lack of a root system. I’ve always recommended that people that want them should plant them on the North or West sides of their house, to prevent damage to the structure when they blow over. Evergreen oaks and pines have been hugged.
You start small, Badtux, and hope you can get Americans to recognize the outline of the US. Then you can add Hawaii and Alaska, but slowly. It will be a while before you can mention that there is a separate nation North of the US called Canada. You work with what you have.
