[Editor: Property doesn’t buy my excuse, but I have been extremely busy this week, and the cold weather has kept the cats hunkered down in their hiding places. The crew inside are not happy about the late meals.]

the hermit has very striking markings (and froggy too), but property and excise are still my favorites of all your tabbies.

Property is rarely photographed because she learned to dislike the action of my old camera, Jams. and it is hard to convince her not to hide. She has never forgotten her first trip to the vet and is a real problem to get in the carrier. She probably has an account book somewhere of every mistake I have made. I get no slack for her.
Hermit and Froggy are mackerel tabbies, Hipparchia, i.e. stripes all the way, while Property and Excise are classic tabbies, with swirls on the their sides instead of stripes. The markings on mackerel tabbies tend to be more definitive than classic tabbies.
I’m serving my sentence for the offense in the laundry, PJ. So far my footwear has been safe.
She is really funny when she decides she wants to be stroked, Ellroon. She has always been almost voiceless and doesn’t meow, but she does make twittering sounds, like her mother. She purrs, but you don’t know it unless you are touching her.
It looks like she is “not amused.”
She is never amused, Jill, except for bedtime when they all gather for the end of the day strokes and head scratching.
What a beautiful face on that kitty! Property knows that you should always keep the kitties as a number one priority. There really is no excuse for you to keep them waiting. 🙂
They need to explain that to the woman who needs to move into the place I’m rehabbing, OWL.
Yes, she’s cute, but she can be a nag like her mother.
