Cyclone Larry Aftermath
In spite of torrential rains the relief efforts for northern Queensland are moving right along with military and chartered aircraft bringing in supplies as the roads are being cleared.
The cost estimates are now up to over a billion dollars, as more of the damage is accessed. Banana and sugar cane plantations as well as rain forests were flattened by the winds.

Ten bucks says the homes and businesses are rebuilt and the plantations re-planted within six months.

I seriously doubt their government will have to conduct hearings on how the emergency response was handled in a few months. *sighs*
In the parliamentary system “question time”, the weekly grilling of government ministers by the members of parliament is usually more effective than anything else.
