Even AFTER the passage of the onerous bankruptcy “reform” bill? If that’s the case, then we’re seriously screwed….
It’s possible, Len, that the jump was the result of people filing to avoid the new law
More than possible. There were (as I now recall) news articles a week or two before the law kicked in noting a record number of filings.
Of course, these people had to be in trouble before the change, so the numbers were there, and this was just a matter of timing.
