Moving
Watertiger has moved to the new and improved Dependable Renegade at DependableRenegade.Com, now with TypePad.
If any of the rest of you is considering the move here’s a line to stick into the “Head” area of your Blogger template:
<META HTTP-EQUIV=”Refresh” CONTENT=”5; URL=https://whynow.dumka.us/”>
It goes after the <head> tag and before the </head> tag, and is used to automatically transfer people to the new location after 5 seconds. Obviously you need to insert your new URL for “whynow.dumka.us” or you will be sending people to this site, but it is a handy way of helping people to find you.
Update: Steve Bates mentioned in comments, not to forget to leave a notice that you moved in the old location and you can do the switch immediately if you change the 5 to Zero[0].

Thanks, Bryan; I didn’t realize watertiger had moved. My blog reading has been rather limited for the past couple of days. Work has a way of doing that. (I will not work on Thanksgiving. I will NOT work on Thanksgiving. I WILL NOT… I hope I will not…)
That’s good advice to movers (and shakers?). I’d add just one thing. If you use the 5-second delay, be sure to put up some sort of main page at the old site explaining that you’ve moved, and that the reader will automatically be taken to the new site. Or you can kick your readers straight into the new site by using 0 instead of 5 in that tag; that’s what I do with the old YDD address.
I’ll probably edit to include that when I have the time. I won’t be working on the re-hab on Thanksgiving, but I have to get my Mother’s outside lights up.
