Actually, I originally typed Nasty, then Nast-y, and then went with the link. That is the etymology of my meaning. YMMV 😉

well, you made me look. 🙂 nast-y would have been a definite tip-off, but nasty sitting there next to jim morin didn’t trigger any immediate associations, so i followed your link.

cagle is committed to free speech in the realm of political cartooning, whether liberal or ill-, and has unflinchingly run controversial cartoons at cagle.com that others feared to publish. i approve. he’s also continued to carry work by editorial cartoonists who have been downsized from newspapers seeking to enhance their profits at the expense of actually doing their job of informing the public, another issue that’s close to my heart.

there aren’t a lot of conservative cartoonists at cagle.com, but of the ones he’s got, most of them are pretty good [i heart mike ramirez]. it’s a far more enjoyable way of doing opposition research than occasionally misintentionally tuning in to rush or bill-o.

I run into time constraints, so I tend to be picky. I don’t object to skewering the pompous or “bent” in any party, but when the subject matter is petty rather than probing, I get annoyed. One Mallard Fillmore is enough for the world.

mallard fillmore is pretty pedestrian. i’m even getting tired of the name of that strip, and i adore bad puns.

i’m a sucker for a well-drawn picture or a well-placed barb, no matter whose side it’s on, and time constraints is what fast internet is for.

I have high speed Internet that can only deliver what the servers put out, No everyone has the server capacity or tuning they need, and I do need to ship products to my customers to get paid, so the lines can’t always be used for blogs.
