"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

It is amazing the places cats can find and be comfortable.
I think there’s a bit from column a and a bit from column b there Bryan!

awww! how cute! my favorite color cat doing something so cute! I guess sleeping is not over-rated afterall.
In looking at the photo a little closer, I see the littermate. cute cute cute!
Had an old neighbor that always announced he was going down into his basement to saw wood. I used to think, man that guy must have a lot of wood saved up down there…

Welcome to the Gulf Coast, Dogs Mom. Well, solid oak lawn furniture is very practical, but kittens will sleep anywhere.
Actually, Jams, her littermate was being actively annoying and broke off when I approached to take the picture. The fact that she didn’t move when I approached tilts in favor of real sleep.
Yes, OWL, just a bit off to the side planning the next line of attack.
Hmmm… Cats with chain saws, not a comforting thought, Jim.
She must be dreaming of that old PDQ Bach number (from “The Art of Ground Round”? I can’t remember for sure [yes!]) that begins with the text, “Loving is as easy as falling off a log; a cat’ll love a cat…”
And I always assume that they are dreaming about killing something to leave where I’ll step in it. 😉
Power napper! Love it. It’s coming close to the end of a bitter, ugly political fight on a campaign that I have been working.
I could use a power nap like that little fuzzy one. Wednesday, June 9th isn’t coming soon enough.
Two more days, and regardless of the result you get to sleep as long as you want. I have confidence that the survival skills you have honed during the fires will serve you well.
Every campaign these days seems to consist almost totally of negatives ads. You can’t find out what any candidate stands for, only what they are against.
