"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

That is one pissed off look! Someone is going to be annoyed back to the Stone Age
quite the awkward stance
These days, Stella’s kitties are equal-opportunity annoyers. They seem to have ginned up some sort of ongoing spat (over a week now) that results in growling and occasionally screaming confrontations, with Esther peddling her claws at Lily as if she were working a miniature kitty bicycle. Peace and quiet is a scarce commodity here, and we humans haven’t a clue what the dispute is all about. Unless, at long last, Esther has tired of The Kitten Who Won’t Go Away… but often enough, Lily starts the fights, to the point where I call them Esther and Pester.
The shutter on the camera was not kind to Lucrezia on this one. She was bunching muscles to spring into action, which is why her left forepaw is lifting a bit. I was taking a series of shots to get one of her looking in the general direction of the camera, and this was as close as I got. The two shots following are blurred as she raced away.
She had a short ‘discussion’ with Ms Underhouse, who has taken the mommy business rather seriously, and so had to attack Toes, who was still asleep when she hit.
Steve, it sounds like Lily didn’t take weaning seriously, and Esther is having to reinforce the message. Property tried this with Ringo and it was really annoying until they sorted it out.
Ah yes, the life of an evil vixen… eat, sleep, wake, find someone sleeping to attempt to give blood poisoning with your claws, heh.
She is proddy at the moment, even more than usual, so she may be in heat … or just crazy.
Ahhh, one of the many fun things kitties can find to do…annoy other kitties. She does look like she’s in a mood!
Is there such a thing as kitty PMS? Curious penguins are… curiously curious :).
Female cats become playful when they go into heat. For most of them it means they will actually interact in what they consider a ‘friendly fashion’ even with me. The problem is Lucrezia’s concept of ‘friendly’ includes attacking other cats.
