Friday Cat Blogging
Busted!

"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

a kitten bent on world domination! what a scowl on that face! [reminds me of curmudgeon cat] and what fascinating markings.
my little horde just discovered the sofa a few hours ago. i’ll have really gotten somewhere with them if they ever discover electronics. originally, i hadn’t planned it this way, but somewhere along the line i decided to make this “feral week” [i must be channelling steve irwin; or was that an animal planet construct?] over at my blog. i think i can fit into one week everything i have to say about pet rescue, feral cats, interspecies bonding, and toss in enough gratuitous cute overload to put myself into a diabetic coma.
I’ve noticed your travails, and wish you luck.
Excise is looking a brown in the stripes. It’s going to be a bit before his final coat is obvious.
I knew an old 3.5″ diskette had to be good for something… still, that is one cuuute kitten.
(This is my first comment from you-know-what. The most frustrating thing is installing a package and not knowing where it went… indeed, finding where things are installed seems the most difficult aspect of Linux for a long-time Windows user.)
Friday Ark #139…
We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Visit all the …
Hah so that’s one kittens bid for power (or at least the loss of power for you!) buggered then Bryan?
Evil kitty – and pretending to be soooooo cute! Paws for world domination.
…must resist urge to adopt another kitty…must resist urge to adopt another kitty…must resist urge to adopt another kitty…must resist urge to adopt another kitty….
Steve – you’ll find a lot of what went into the Windows and Windows\System folders on XP are in /bin or user/bin. Yes, there are uses for floppies and I have enough of them. I think the kittens are drawn by the heat of the unit. I’m going to have to mount the unit on the back of the computer table.
Jams, I expect that I look under the table one day and see one of the fuzzballs wrapped in tape while another is turning off the power.
Mitch, they do seem to derive joy from hearing me complain about what they are doing.
Andante, Trouble has never seemed to grow up, so he’s a perpetual kitten, although a bit large.
Ha! More proof of the Animal Conspiracy To Take Over The World Terrorism Cabal!! The ACTTOTWTC disguises itself in cuteness! Beware!
I should have known better. They got me. Instead of tuning off the UPS, this time they manged to flip the switch on the power strip. I’m going to end up with all of this stuff on the ceiling.
Best laugh I’ve had all day…Excise is adorable and has the look of a very clever cat.
And they got through to the power strip…bravo!
They have been very quiet up until Wednesday when they achieved enough coordinated movement to dash around, and now they are everywhere. I didn’t worry about the power strip because the cats can’t fit into the area where it’s located, but the kittens can.
The power strip and UPS can be wall mounted and I’m going to be forced to do that.
thanks for the kind thoughts. except for that scary 24 hours or so, the dog and i have really been enjoying this. curmudgeon cat, on the other hand, is not amused.
i used to decorate for christmas, but when it literally got to the point where everything had to be hung from the ceiling to keep it out of reach of the furred ones, i stopped. i do miss the lights, but not enough to give up having pets.
My stuff is all at my Mother’s because the critters think everything is a cat toy.
Kittens are a lot of fun, but they can get annoying.
That’s a cute little kitten. It’s going to be an electrician when it grows up.
My concern is that it won’t grow up if I don’t move a lot of wires out of the way. I had Ringo in the bathroom during this stage and she never showed any interest in wires when she joined Dot and Sox “outside”. These guys are into everything and their mother isn’t correcting them.
